Our filter that came with our Frigidaire Professional was a solid filter, the replacement has three tissue thin carbon sheets as a filter. I'm not sure why there is such a difference in products, as this is the recommended filter for my refrigerator, but I do not recommend it, I will shop for a generic replacement.
